Everything below is what we currently have on hand across our Delta, Prince Rupert, and Sandspit locations, and it changes as boats and motors sell or new stock arrives, so a listing marked “In Stock” reflects what’s really sitting in our yard right now, not a catalogue of everything we could order in. If a listing shows “Call for Availability”, that unit is still moving through our system and one of our sales team can confirm timing for you.
Every boat has a capacity plate, usually mounted near the helm or on the transom, that lists the maximum horsepower the hull is rated to carry. That number is your ceiling, not a target, and going past it is both unsafe and against the manufacturer’s rating. From there, the right horsepower comes down to how you actually use the boat. A light aluminum boat used for lake fishing needs far less power than the same size hull loaded with gear and running open water. Smaller tenders and inflatables are usually well served in the 2.5 to 15 HP range, mid-size fishing and family boats typically run 40 to 90 HP, and larger hulls built for speed or offshore work can need well over 150 HP. Our Quicksilver lineup includes both air floor and aluminum floor inflatables, and the right one depends on how you’ll use it. Air floor tenders inflate in minutes, pack down small, and are light enough for one or two people to carry, which makes them a good fit if you mainly need a dinghy to get from a mooring to shore. Aluminum floor models are heavier and take longer to set up, but the rigid floor gives a stable platform underfoot that holds up better to gear, pets, and rougher landings. If your inflatable is doing double duty as a work tender or a fishing platform, the aluminum floor is usually worth the extra setup time.
