INDUSTRY LEADING FACILITIES

Our large, heated workshops have room for multiple large boats at one time with room to spare. Bay doors open to a beautiful water view. In the winter months, the entire workshop is heated to fight back the chill. If you don’t have a specific tool, our workshop is fully stocked. Each technician also receives a 50% reimbursement up to $1000 spent on tools annually. Factory training is provided, and continuing education and skill set is encouraged. Apprentice Mechanic/Shop Helper

Job description

Bridgeview Marine with locations in Delta, Prince Rupert, and Sandspit BC. We are an authorized dealer and warranty repair center for the industry’s leading marine manufacturers.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and hard working individual to join our service department. This is a full-time year-round position with great benefits and advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities

Routine maintenance of inboard and outboard marine engines

Pre-delivery inspections using manufacturer checklist

Boat rigging and equipment installation

Assisting trained mechanics when needed

Maintain clean and organized shop and work yard

Forklift use

Loading and unloading trucks and trailers

General labour tasks in shop and yard

Experience

Applicants with prior experience in the marine industry preferred

Use of Forklift, Tractor, boat trailer and overhead crane considered an asset

Applicants with mechanical experience preferred

Required Skills and Abilities

Valid BC Driver’s license

Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced team members

Basic understanding of combustion engines and mechanical processes

Experience with power and hand tools and operating them safely

Excellent communication skills in English

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $20.00-$26.00 per hour

Marine Mechanic/Technician

Job description

Bridgeview Marine with locations in Delta, Prince Rupert, and Sandspit BC. We are an authorized dealer and warranty repair center for the industry’s leading marine manufacturers.

We are looking for an experienced Service Technician to join our team. If you are experienced, enthusiastic, reliable, and a hard worker, please send us your resume.

This is a full time, year-round position that offers medical & dental benefits as well as a pension plan. Compensation depends on qualifications and experience.

Experience Required:

Mechanical experience 2+years of experience as a marine mechanic, Automotive, heavy duty or a similar combination of training and experience

Experience servicing new and used marine engines, inboard and diesel engines is an asset

Experience with one or more of the following manufacturers: Mercury Marine, Yamaha, Suzuki, Volvo Penta, Yanmar, John deere and Cummings

Use of forklift, tractor, yard trailer, and overhead crane considered an asset

Mobile service experience an asset

Skills and Abilities:

A valid BC Driver’s License is required

Strong diagnostic and repair skill level

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Proficiency with computers and willingness to learn industry specific software

Willingness to occasionally work off site with company vehicle

Job duties:

Inspect marine engines and other components using test devices

Diagnose any faults and perform appropriate repairs

Test system after proper repairs

Determine repair cost estimates for customer

Organize parts requirements and work orders

Perform scheduled maintenance on marine engines and other components

Positive customer interaction
